A ficton story- The fantastic world of the natives (part 1)

The New World- Please note historical dates may not be accurate

It was a warm Summer day in 1607 in Great Britain. Ellie was  washing the dishes before her mother came home so she could go outside and sing with the birds. She loved animals and absolutely loved singing with the birds. However, if she did not finish washing the dishes before her mother came home from the market, Ellie would have to do extra chores as well and would not be able to go play with the birds. Ellie was on her last dish when she heard the creaking of a door. "Mother? Is that you?" Ellie called out. "No, I don't think I'm your mother!" The unmistakeable voice of her father cried out. Ellie gasped. "Father, why are you home so early?" Ellie's father was a kind tall man, with blond hair swooping down to his shoulders. He was against King James and  did not really like the king at all. "I will do anything to get out of the King's grasp". He always said. "Well..." He started, but stopped abruptly and said instead, "I will have to discuss this matter with your mother before I can talk to you about it." He smiled a kind smile then walked away into his room without any further conversation.

Ellie was worried. She could hear the hushed tones of her parents on the other side of the door. She didn't like this one bit. Her parents never kept any secrets from her, and the one time  they did, it was only for her birthday. Ellie knew things were getting difficult with the king and all, but she didn't think it could affect her family. Ellie gasped, her mother was... crying? She had never ever thought her mother could cry. Ellie could tell that there was going to be no happy news at dinner that night. She heard the approaching sounds of her parents footsteps approaching the door, Ellie ran up to her room. "Ellie dear, will you please come down for dinner?" Ellie raced out of her neat organized room
and helped her mother set the dishes. " Mother? What was it you and father were talking about?" Ellie's mother looked at her sadly and just said " You will find out during dinner. Me and your father will both tell you. Alright?" Ellie nodded. Her dad strode into the kitchen just as Ellie was getting seated. Her mother looked up from her seat on the table where she was crying salty tears. "Now Gretta, you know crying will not change my mind so please do not cry." Ellie's father said sternly to her mother. "Father, you must tell me what is going on! I can't bear to see mother and you like this!" Ellie suddenly cried out. Her mother and father exchanged quiet glances and nodded. Finally her father sighed and started "Ellie, this is important news and you must understand not to let yourself get a bit emotional. Do you understand?" Ellie nodded a quick small nod. " Alright, I have always looked for a sign to get out of the kings grasp, as you probably know. Well, I have found the perfect way to do so. My friend James Smith III has been asked by the king to ride to the New World with more of the people who are willing to go. I have, well, accepted to go. Along with you and your mother." Ellie breathed in, then out. "No. I won't go. I can't go!" Ellie cried out shocked. Ellie's father sighed "Ellie, c'mon sweetheart, you can surly be able to come up with some good reasons for why the new world would be an interesting place to visit." Her father stated modestly. Ellie shook her head vigorously, "All I think of this new world, is that it is dragging us away from our true home."
